I know I’ve been technically out there in the country selling copies of WHERE WOLF since April, but today marks the official release of the graphic novel I made with artist Debora Lancianese and letterer Jack Morelli. It’s been a wild journey getting this book across the finish line but I’m so excited to have it out there in the world. A few weeks ago, a Google Alert I had set up for news about the book alerted me to the fact that a library in Kentucky had ordered two copies of WHERE WOLF for its branches. My life has been shaped by weird lil’ books I discovered at the library growing up. I can only hope that WHERE WOLF might be that weird lil’ book for somebody else.
So, now that WHERE WOLF is out there, here’s where I ask for some help.
ORDER A COPY!
This goes without saying, I guess, but if you haven’t already ordered a copy of WHERE WOLF, please consider picking one up. You can buy a copy direct from the publisher, Amazon, Barnes and Noble or a number of other online retailers. Locally, the book is available to buy at Brazos Bookstore in Houston. Speaking of bookstores, if there’s a local book or comic retailer near you that you frequent, ask them if they plan on carrying WHERE WOLF. Retailers can order copies at wholesale prices through Ingram catalog, or they can just email me directly at rob@wherewolfcomic.com.
REVIEW THE BOOK!
In this modern world of book publishing, reviews are extremely important. They help grease the algorithm and ensure that search engines and online retailers recommend the book to folks who might be interested in it. Consider leaving a review at GoodReads, Amazon and/or Barnes and Noble’s website, please!
SHARE THE BOOK!
This one’s easy - if you know somebody who might enjoy the book, please tell them about it. If you frequent a library, please hip them of this book’s existence so that they might consider stocking it. Name drop WHERE WOLF on your social media feed, podcast, newsletter, NextDoor forum, LiveJournal or bring it up at your next book club meet. I didn’t write WHERE WOLF to be rich, I wrote it because I had a story I wanted people to read. Please consider getting the word out about the comic to anybody and everybody you think might enjoy it.
Thanks for everything, my friends. I can’t wait to share more comics with you soon but - in the meantime - beware the moon!
Congrats! I’ll head out to Brazos to grab a copy! Also, you should sign them for us! 😏
